Uneven concrete isn’t just unsightly—it can create serious trip hazards, drainage issues, and even lower your property’s value over time. Fortunately, tearing it out and starting over isn’t your only option. At Vortex Concrete Repair, we specialize in restoring sunken and uneven surfaces using high-performance polyurethane lifting.

Our advanced polyurethane foam is injected beneath the slab to fill voids and raise the concrete back to its original position. It cures quickly, meaning most projects are completed in just hours—not days—so you can get back to using your space almost immediately.

01.

What is polyurethane concrete lifting?

Polyurethane concrete lifting is a modern method for raising and leveling sunken or uneven concrete surfaces. It involves injecting a high-density foam beneath the slab through small holes. As the foam expands, it fills voids and gently lifts the slab back to its original position.

02.

When should I raise my concrete rather than replace it?

Consider raising your concrete when the slab is still in good structural condition but has settled. If there are no major cracks or severe crumbling, lifting is 50-70% more affordable than a full replacement.

03.

What are the advantages to polyurethane vs mudjacking?

Polyurethane is much lighter than mudjacking slurry, reducing the risk of further soil compression. It requires smaller holes, cures in minutes rather than days, and is waterproof, meaning it won't wash away.

04.

Is polyurethane foam environmentally friendly?

Yes. Our foam is an inert, non-toxic material that won’t leach chemicals into the soil. Because it extends the life of existing concrete, it also reduces landfill waste from demolition.

05.

Do I need to be home for an estimate or work?

While helpful, you don't need to be home as long as we have clear access to the work area. We can often complete estimates and the actual lifting while you are away.

06.

How soon can I drive/park on my leveled driveway?

One of the biggest perks of foam lifting is speed. You can typically walk and drive on your newly leveled concrete within 15 to 30 minutes after completion.

07.

Can you lift my driveway instead of replacing it?

Absolutely. If the concrete is structurally sound, polyurethane lifting is an effective way to restore proper drainage and remove trip hazards without the mess of a full tear-out.

08.

Will lifting my patio fix drainage issues?

Yes. By lifting the sunken sections, we restore the proper pitch (slope) of the concrete to ensure water flows away from your home’s foundation instead of pooling against it.
